21 Days Uganda Wildlife Comprehensive Safari

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport.

Upon your arrival, you will be picked up by your trained guide from the adventure in the wild safaris who will drive you to one of the hotels in Kampala. Relax for some time and have your meals. In case you arrive in time you will have a city tour, if you do not, you will have dinner at the hotel and then rest preparing for the next day.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park.

After your morning tea, your trained tour guide will pick you up at the lodge and transfer you to Lake Mburo national park. This journey will take you over 3 to 4 hours to reach the park. On your arrival, you will be checked in at the park entrance and directed to the lodge where you will spend your overnight. You will have your lunch and then do an evening boat cruise where you will get to see a number of animals such as hippos, crocodiles, and zebras to mention but a few. From there you will get to your lodge have dinner and rest for the next day.

Day 3: Morning game drive and nature walk.

You will wake up very early in the morning, have your morning tea, and then set off for your morning game drive in the park where you will get to see a number of animals such as zebras, impalas, and so many others. From there you will get back to the lodge have your lunch and get back in the evening for your evening nature walk in the park where you will get to enjoy the Banyankole community and also get to see the beautiful landscape of the rolling hills of Acacia. You will get back to the lodge have dinner and then rest preparing for the next day.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, an evening canoe paddle.

After your morning tea, you will wake up early in the morning, grab yourself a cup of coffee, and then you will probably start off your journey to Lake Bunyonyi which is so far the deepest lake in Uganda. On your arrival, you will be checked in and then directed where to spend your overtime as you relax. You will have your lunch and then go for an evening canoe paddle ride as you get to explore the beautiful lake. From there, you will get back to the lodge to refresh, have dinner at Birds Nest then rest.

Day 5: Enjoy a sunrise boat cruise at the lake and transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park.

On this early morning, you will wake up, have your morning breakfast and then get back to Lake Bunyonyi to have your morning boat cruise as you enjoy the sunrise on the lake. More so you will get to explore the islands around the lake which are so amazing and rolling. You will get to the lodge have your lunch and then embark on your journey to Mgahinga national park.

Day 6: Golden monkey tracking or Batwa heritage trail and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

After your morning tea, you will be picked up by your trained tour guide at your lodge who will take you to the park headquarters to have a briefing about the rules and regulations of trekking the golden monkeys. From there you will then get to the jungle and then start looking for the monkeys. Once you get the monkeys, you will be given time to spend with them and take photos. From there, you will get to the lodge have lunch, and then transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking and nature walk.

You will have to wake up very early in the morning, have your morning tea, and then by 7 am you will be picked up by your guide to the park headquarters to have a short briefing on how to do the gorilla trekking. Then by 8 am, you will be divided into groups of 8 people. You will then enter into the park and start trekking. Once you get the primates, you be given ample time to stay with them as you are having fun and taking photos. From there, you will get back to the lodge have lunch, and relax preparing for an evening guided nature walk where you will get the local people there and get to interact with them. You will get to know what they do to earn a leaving. From there you will get to the lodge have dinner and relax.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

After grabbing yourself a cup of tea, you will be picked up by your guide who will drive you to Queen Elizabeth national park. Upon your arrival, you will be checked in at the park entrance and then directed to the lodge where you will spend your overnight. You will have your lunch and then go for an evening game drive where you will get to see a number of animals such as the elephants, the lions, and the leopards to mention but a few. From there, you will get back to the lodge, have dinner and then get back to the lodge to have dinner and then rest for the next day.

Day 9: Game drive and launch cruise.

After the morning tea, you will be picked up by your guide and then taken to the park for a morning game drive where you will get to the Ishasha sector and see the tree-climbing lions. You will get the experience, take the photos and then get back to the lodge to have lunch. You will relax for some time and then go to the Kazinga channel for a launch cruise where you will get to see a number of animals such as hippos, crocodiles, and buffalos to mention but a few. You will get back to the lodge, have your dinner, and then rest as you prepare for the next day.

Day 10: Morning chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge, and transfer to Kasese.

After your morning tea, you will be picked up by your trained tour guide who will drive you to the park headquarters to have a briefing about how to trek the chimpanzees. You will then be divided into groups of 10 to 12 members who will enter the jungle and start the trekking. Once you get these primates, you will be given ample time to stay with them as you are taking the photos. You will get to the lodge, have lunch, and then set off to be transferred to Kasese where you will get to see the slopes of the mythical Rwenzori mountains which are also known as the mountains of the moon.

Day 11: Do a whole day of Mount Rwenzori Hiking and transfer to Kibale national park.

You will wake up early in the morning, grab yourself a cup of tea, and then get to mountain Rwenzori which is also known as the mountains of the moon with your packed lunch. You will hike to the mountain which will take you almost a full day. While on the mountain, you will get to see a number of animals such as impalas, lions, and elephants to mention but a few. From there, you will then transfer to Kibale national park via the Rwimi to get relaxed.

Day 12: Chimp trekking and Bigodi nature walk.

After your morning tea, your trained tour guide will pick you up from the hotel where you spent your night and he will drive you to the park headquarters where you will get a short briefing on the rules and regulations of tracking the chimpanzees. After having got all the rules, you will enter the jungle and start trekking. Once you get the chimps, you will be allowed to stay with them for over one hour having fun with them and taking the photos. You will then be driven back to the lodge to have lunch as you prepare for your evening bigodi nature walk where you will get to find the local people in the community and jazz with them. More so you will interact with them about their ways of leaving and what activities they do earn a leaving. After there, you will head back to the lodge refresh up, have dinner and then prepare for the next day.

Day 13: Transfer to Hoima and take a visit to the Bunyoro Kitara Heritage Trail.

After having taken your breakfast, your trained tour guide will pick you up from the hotel where you spent your night and then transfer you to Hoima passing through the very impressive and peaceful city of fort portal till you reach Hoima. Upon your arrival, you will be checked in and then directed to the lodge where you will spend your overnight. You will have your lunch and then take a visit to the Bunyoro Kitara Heritage Trail. In this walk, you will get to interact with the people in this place and then get to explore the royal tombs of the kings of Bunyoro. You will interact with the people and get to know their traditional ways and the different types of foods they eat. From there, you will be driven back to the lodge, refresh yourself, have dinner, and then rest.

Day 14: Hoima to Murchison Falls National Park.

After your morning breakfast, your trained guide will pick you up from the lodge where you spent a night and then transfer you to Murchison falls national park the largest national park in Uganda. On your way to the park, you will get to see the beautiful magnificent landscape of the Albertine rift valley not forgetting the Karuma Falls which are so attractive to almost every client who goes to Murchison Falls. Upon your arrival, you will be checked in and then directed to the lodge where you will spend your overnight. We assume that by the time you arrive, it will already have got too late so there will be no activity to be done. You will have dinner and then rest preparing for the next day.

Day 15: Game drive and launch cruise.

After grabbing yourself your morning tea, you will be picked up by your trained guide from your hotel and then transfer to the park for the morning game drive where you will get to see a number of animals while there such as the elephants, the lions, the leopards to mention but a few. You will then drive back to the lodge to have your lunch, relax a bit and then go for a launch cruise on the Nile River where you will get to see a number of animals such as crocodiles, hippos and so many others. You will be driven by your guide back to the lodge to relax and have dinner preparing to rest.

Day 16: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park.

Immediately after your morning breakfast, your guide will transfer you to kidepo national park found in the northern part of Uganda in the dry savannah being boarded by South Sudan and Kenya. Upon your arrival, you will be checked in and then directed to the lodge where to spend your overnight.

Day 17: Do morning game drive and Karimojong community tour.

Very early in the morning after having your morning breakfast, your trained tour guide will pick you up from the lodge where you spent your night and then drive you to the park for the morning game drive. During your game drive, you will get to see a number of animals such as buffaloes, the cheetah, the warthogs to mention but a few. From there, you will drive back to the lodge, have lunch and then prepare for the Karimojong nature walk in the afternoon where you will get to interact with the Karimojong pastoralists and get to interact with them as you know what they do to earn a leaving. More so, these pastoralists will take you around their homes as they show you their cows, sing for you, and show you how they milk the cows to mention but a few. You will then get to your lodge have dinner and then rest.

Day 18: Trek to Morungole mountains to the native Karimojong.

On this beautiful day, you will have to wake up very early in the morning, grab yourself a cup of coffee, and then set off to the Morungole mountains where you will find the native Karamojong who were also referred to as the original inhabitants of the area. The mountains of Morungole will give you great views of the Karamojong plains together with the South Sudan mountains. From there, you will have to drive back to the lodge to rest, have your meals and rest.

Day 19: Transfer to Sipi Area. Don game drive in Pian Upe Game Reserve en route.

After grabbing yourself a cup of coffee, you will be picked up by your trained guide from the lodge where you slept and then transfer to the sipi area. Upon your arrival, you will be checked in and then directed to a place where you will spend your overnight. You will relax, have lunch and then go for a game drive in the Pian Upe game reserve where you will get to see a number of animals such as the jackals, Civets, hyenas, leopards to mention but a few. From there, you will drive back to the lodge have dinner and then rest.

Day 20: Trek Sipi falls and then transfer to Jinja.

After your morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your trained guide from the lodge to the sipi falls. This is an interesting activity because it involves seeing the beautiful land landscape of Gisu and the good-looking flows of water from the falls. From there, you will get to the lodge, have your lunch and then transfer to Jinja where you will get to see the sugar cane plantations and rice plantations along the way to Jinja. Upon your arrival in Jinja, you will check in at your lodge, have your dinner and then rest.

Day 21: White water rafting and depart to Kampala.

Wake up very early in the morning, grab yourself a cup of coffee, and then go for white water rafting in the Nile where you will enjoy the game when you see the boat going to the bottom of the water and then up again. This will take you some good quite time. From there, you will go for your lunch at the lodge and then set off for Kampala where you will check in at the Africana Hotel, have dinner and then rest. This marks the end of your safari.
